Mauricio Torres, artista multi-tributo chileno nacido en la región del BíoBío comienza su carrera de imitador el año 1992 con su primer gran personaje: FREDDIE MERCURY. Fundó la banda tributo a Queen INNUENDO, desde donde ha llegado a ser el imitador de
FREDDIE MERCURY más emblemático y reconocido de Chile.

Luego de trabajar por mas de 15 años cantando todas las noches en el extinto BARRIO ESTACIÓN (Concepción, CHILE), el año 2012 Mauricio tiene un punto importante en su trayectoria: en la segunda temporada del programa de televisión “MI NOMBRE ES” de Canal 13, logra cautivar al jurado, al público y a todo Chile por su gran parecido a Freddie Mercury y su impresionante voz, lo que lo lleva a alcanzar etapa de SEMIFINALES.
En el año 2013 se presenta a participar al programa de televisión "TALENTO CHILENO" de CHV, en donde alcanza la FINAL de esa temporada.

En 2015 Brian May y Roger Taylor, miembros originales de Queen conocen personalmente a Mauricio y quedan realmente sorprendidos por su gran parecido físico y su caracterización.

En 2016 Mauricio es premiado por la mismísima hermana de Freddie Mercury, Kashmira Cooke, en el cumpleaños N° 70 del vocalista británico, celebrado en Montreux – Suiza.

El año 2018, tras 7 años de trabajar como Freddie Mercury por todo Chile y contando ya con varias actuaciones internacionales, Mauricio siente la necesidad de hacer una nueva imitación, es por eso que comienza a trabajar en SIR ELTON JOHN.

Su estreno con ELTON JOHN es en 2019 en el exitoso programa de imitación "YO SOY", en donde llega a instancias finales.

Gracias a su destacada participación fue contactado por la mas importante productora europea de tributos, la cual lo lleva a presentarse en la GRAN VÍA de Madrid (una especie de BROADWAY español) por 1 semana.

Tras esta serie de presentaciones comienzan las giras por Chile, convirtiéndolo en el imitador de ELTON JOHN mas reconocido del país junto a su banda tributo ROCKETBAND.

Mauricio Torres, Chilean multi-tribute artist born in the BíoBío state, began his impersonator career in 1992 with his first great character: FREDDIE MERCURY. He founded the tribute band to Queen INNUENDO, from where he has become the imitator of FREDDIE MERCURY most emblematic and recognized in Chile.
After working for more than 15 years singing every night in the extinct BARRIO ESTACIÓN (Concepción, CHILE), in 2012 Mauricio has an important point in his career: in the second season of the television program "MI NAME IS" on C13, he manages to captivate the jury, the public and all of Chile for his great resemblance to Freddie Mercury and his impressive voice, which leads him to reach the stage of SEMIFINALS. In 2013 he appeared to participate in the television program "CHILE'S GOT TALENT" of CHV, where he reached the FINAL of that season.
In 2015 Brian May and Roger Taylor, original members of Queen personally know Mauricio and are really surprised by his great physical resemblance and characterization.
In 2016 Mauricio is awarded by the very sister of Freddie Mercury, Kashmira Cooke, on the 70th birthday of the British vocalist, celebrated in Montreux - Switzerland.
In 2018, after 7 years of working as Freddie Mercury throughout Chile and already having several international performances, Mauricio feels the need to do a new imitation, that is why he begins working at SIR ELTON JOHN.
His debut with ELTON JOHN is in 2019 in the successful imitation program "I AM", where he reaches final stages.
Thanks to his outstanding participation, he was contacted by the most important European IMPERSONATOR and TRIBUTE BAND SHOW producer, which leads him to appear on the GRAN VÍA in Madrid (a kind of Spanish BROADWAY) for 1 week.
After this series of presentations, tours of Chile begin, making him the most recognized impersonator of ELTON JOHN in the country with his tribute band ROCKETBAND.
